  • Today, my daughter grew her first tooth.

Can you believe it?  2 days shy of 6 months and my daughter has her first tooth.

Oh boy I'm in for it!  I realized today that I'm going to be one of those annoying parents that gloats when something good is accomplished by their kid.  Yup.  I'm in the club.  The gloating club.

I mean yeah, M's a fast learner.  Yeah she was lifting her head the day she was born.  Yeah she learned to sleep straight throughout the night without much fuss.  And yes, she was sitting up on her own, unassisted, at the age of 5 months.  And yes, she started crawling like 2 weeks ago.  But a "TOOTH!"  That's just sheer talent!!!

I tell you.  M is wonderful.  She brings joy into my heart.  When my wife, K, called me at work to say that little M grew her first tooth today I had a flashback of the day she was born.  Almost 6 months of diaper changing, bottle feeding, baby bathing, doctor visiting, and bottle sterilizing went out the door.  A tooth.  A tooth has made it so worth all of it.  A tooth.

This is why, I tell you, I'm in for it.  Good bye social butterfly and hello "I never seen her do that befo."

I like this little kid of mine.  I think I'll keep her for a little while.

Change.  Change is like the minute hand watched by little students before 3.   It can be unwanted if you know the bully's comes after it.  But like most times, it can be anticipated with fun thoughts of things to do after it.   It can also be unexpected like when a teacher's lesson is fun and exciting.  Nonetheless, change is inevitable.  And I welcomed it with a hearty laugh today.  Har Har Har~~

"Oh life.  It's bigger than you...and you are not me..."

  • Maddie-B, my beautiful daughter.

    Hello again,

I know it's been awhile, so here is my quasi-tri-annual entry.

So what is new?  Well, hmm...  What...is...new?

    Drum roll preez...

I'm a dad!!!  Yup!  I'm a dad.  And I'm on cloud-9 everytime I look into her eyes or hold her in my arms.  Ofcourse, there's the share of diaper changing, feeding, swaddling, bathing, and this and that...but g-golly!  I love this little girl.

Our daughter's name is Madison Bijou Lee.  She came into our world on March 8th, 2006; 3:50 in the morning.  Born 8 Lbs 2 Ozs & 21 1/4 in long.  What a big little girl she is!

My love for my wife has grown to new levels ever since.  Not only because of Maddie, but because of the sacrifice she has made and is making for Maddie.  K, what a trooper she is!  I love her.  You hear that internet!  I love K!!!

Madison, oh Madison.  Why you put your mother to such drama?  48 hours of labor; that's right!  Forty-Eight hours of labor.  3 hours of pushing; that's right!  Three hours of pushing.  What a story we have.

Anyhoo, the outcome is our beautiful baby girl.  She's so sweet too.  Sleeps well.  Eats well.  Poops well...hmmm...she poops like she ought to poop.  Heh Heh Heh.

There is a moment in your life when you know.  And you thank God for every bit of it.  "Thank you."

    Hmmm....*sigh*

Life is good...still all the time.  My job is still, well, still my job.  I'm getting better at it.  I see a lot of people I haven't met in the longest.  Like people from my elementary school, people from church back in the days, people from the neighborhood.  And with each one I get a sense of satisfaction after sending them off to somewhere they kinda sorta had in mind.  I've come to  realize that my job is not only selling vacation packages, but to refine what my customers have in mind and then to send them there.  The best is when I get a call from them while they're there, and they say, "Mark, I want to stay a few days longer."  In terms of work, that's the best!  It means I'm beginning to know the destinations.  It means I'm beginning to know how and where to send my clients.  It means I'm doing my job.

Life is good... all the time.

Well...I think it's about that time to go.  For those of you that know me, act like you know me!  For those of you that don't, consider yourselves deprived.  Moo Hoo Hoo Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!

Well catch you on the fly!  Till then.  Take care.  Be safe.  Laterz...

    Good Things!

Started my new job 2 weeks ago.  So far it's challenging, engaging, and yet still fun.  I help people.  I help them escape from ordinary life.  I put romance into their lives.  I revive the spirit within them that has dimmed from the "daily grind" of life.  I am a travel agent.  I work for Liberty Travel.

Training was fun.  I was couped up for 3 weeks in Mahwah, NJ learning the lingo of the travel world.  And still there's more to learn.  It's different from my past occupations in many ways and I like that!  There's this little satisfaction I feel when I fulfill a couples desire to get away; to go celebrate life.

I've been married now for a little over a year now.  Life is good.  God is good...all the time.  We renewed our vows in Antigua for our 1st anniversary in April.  Antigua is beautifully breathtaking!  We went SCUBA diving for our first time.  We are addicted.  Come August we've planned a trip to the Florida Keys for some of the world's best SCUBA diving.  Can't wait.

Like I said.  Life is good.  Hmmmmm...the flipside.  Well, the flipside is that I have changed.  I'm comfortable.  (Meaning my clothes don't fit as well nowadays.)  I play 'Texas' every chance I get; including online.

Adulthood is knocking on my door...everyday.  And I look through the peephole as if it's Jehovah's witnesses.  On one hand we want to have kids.  On the otherhand we want to live the life we promised ourselves when we were in college.  Be financially responsible or socially incorrigible.  That is the question!

What is the answer?  Let me know.

In the meantime, I AM a travel agent.  I work @ the Liberty Travel on Northern Blvd. and 193rd Street in Flushing.  If you want to go somewhere talk to me first.  I'll let you know what's worthy of your presence out there.

BTW, if anybody knows of a 2-3 bedroom house for sale in Queens for a good price let me know.

The chances of me writing back is slim, but leave your remarks anyway.  I welcome the comments.

Till next time.  Be safe.  Take care.  Laterz...

Marriage life is still fun.  It get's interestingly better everyday.

Don't know why I decided today of all days to put an entry in, but heck!  Why not?!

Hmmmm....  Maybe I should make an entry for the New Year.  With resolutions and all that shtuff.

Anyhoo.  Don't want to prolong you guys from your daily lives...your daily grind.

Enjoy life!  We'll compare stories later!
